KOHRIN

Installation synchronizing air flow with vegetation objects made from LEDs, cotton, wire and electronic circuits. A proprietary analog sensor unit perceives subtle movements of breeze, causing the light of objects to become fluffy and gently flicker.
Installation at Kyoto’s historical Nijo Castle featured ceiling projection of full moon images in a theatrical blackout within a space where moonlight crossed over with shimmering light generated by a breeze and interaction from the movement of fans held by viewers.
