OTESANDO HILLS CHRISTMAS 2025
# XMAS TREE
Tree installation for “OMOTESANDO HILLS CHRISTMAS 2025.”
A 10-meter-tall “Prism Tree” is installed on the grand staircase in the main building’s atrium. A multifaceted optical prism structure and lightly moving rings of light form an artistic tree, where rings and spheres suggest universality, and the prism polyhedron expresses diversity.
Approximately 1,000 prism elements are made with LUCENT’s proprietary optical polycarbonate material, “Prism Ray®.” Floating sphere motions around the tree wrap layers of reflected and refracted prism light, tinting the space in shifting prism colors.
Around the tree, LUCENT’s performance system “Kinetic Light Vision (K.L.V)” is installed as a circular ring. 48 spheres move in sync with music to draw rings of light, creating an integrated lighting experience with the Prism Tree.
Special Program
A special program combining light motion and sound runs every 20 minutes (approx. 2 minutes per program). The tree’s standard white lighting shifts into colorful lighting in sync with spatial music by sound designer Setsuya Kurotaki.
