Enoshima "Luminous Way" 2026

The Enoshima Escar, Japan’s first outdoor escalator, opened in 1959. Extending approximately 100 meters, it has been transformed into an immersive visual experience.
Following the launch of Section 1 in 2022, the work was expanded to Section 2 in 2026.

As visitors ascend, they embark on a journey unique to Enoshima, rising from the depths of the ocean to the surface and onward to the observation deck. Live-action footage and computer-generated imagery merge seamlessly, creating a dynamic and evocative visual landscape.

A space once used solely as a means of transportation has been transformed into a continuous entertainment experience that unfolds through movement.
